Obituary for Barbara Borsum

Barbara Borsum of Grand Ledge, MI, completed this lifetime journey of 94 years on October 29, 2017, at her daughter’s home in Lexington, KY. She was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, Theodore Borsum. She was born in Wallace, Idaho on August 4, 1923 to Amy (Rowe) and Ned Curtis. She leaves one brother, Lawrence Curtis of Daytona Beach, FL and was preceded in death by her brother, Ned Curtis II, and two sisters, Helen Kiebler and Kathryn Schwartz.
Barbara was a loving mother to three daughters: Dianne Westfall of Grand Ledge, MI, Carole (James) Dickinson of Fountain Hills, AZ, and Nancy (Frank) Gagnon of Lexington, KY. She also leaves joyful and loving memories for her six grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Barbara graduated from Eastern High School in Lansing, MI and later went on to graduate with high honors in the first practical nursing class of Lansing Community College. She enjoyed getting together with her Eastern High School Friends and her new group of friends from Fairview Assisted Living.
A visitation will be held at Peters & Murray Funeral Home, 301 E. Jefferson St., Grand Ledge, MI on Saturday, November 11, 2017 from 2-4 p.m. Private family burial will be held. In lieu of flowers and donations, Barbara would wish instead for those to spend a nice dinner out with their family. Online condolences may be shared at www.petersandmurrayfuneralhome.com
