Obituary for Betty Lou Kokx

Betty Lou Kokx, loving wife, mother, and grandmother went to be with her Lord on February 2, 2018. She was born July 10, 1931 in Kingsley, MI, daughter of the late Elmer and Clara (Skiver) Pierce. Betty was a graduate of Fife Lake High School, Class of 1950, retired employee of K-Mart, and member of St. Michael Catholic Church in Grand Ledge and the American Sewing Guild. She loved her children and grandchildren endlessly; was a master crafter, avid bird watcher and enjoyed knitting.

She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Gerald “Jerry”, 5 children: Gerald (Maggie Graham) Kokx Jr., Gregory (Patricia) Kokx, Marie (Robert) Keenoy, Marina (John) Barber, and Jason (Lisa) Kokx; 11 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, brother Jerry Pierce and sister Donna (Jack) Rawlings.

A memorial service will be held Tuesday, February 6, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Peters & Murray Funeral Home, Grand Ledge, with visitation from 10:00 a.m. until service time. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to St. Michael Catholic Church or Mother Teresa House. Online condolences may be shared at www.petersandmurrayfuneralhome.com
