Obituary for David Charles Meredith

David “Skip” C. Meredith, 76, passed away peacefully at home on August 31, 2016. He was born June 7, 1940 in Grand Ledge, MI, son of Verl and Grace (Sherman) Meredith. Skip was retired from Meijer Inc., served in the U.S. Navy and was a member of the American Legion Cole-Briggs Post 48, Grand Ledge. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Patricia, son and daughter-in-law, David (Jennifer) Meredith and daughter and son-in-law Suzanne (Richard) By, grandchildren: Jennifer and Christopher By, Madelyn, Lydia and Ellayna Meredith; sisters: Pearl Sealy, Marilyn Meredith and Lois Baker. He was predeceased by two sons, James and Gerald Meredith and brother Edward Meredith.

A funeral service will be held Tuesday, September 6, 2016 – 11:00 A.M. at Peters & Murray Funeral Home, Grand Ledge, with visitation one hour prior to service time. Military Honors will follow at Oakwood Cemetery, Grand Ledge. For those wishing, memorial contributions may be made to the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
