Obituary for Jennie A Branscum

Jennie Ann Branscum (McNamara), 50, went home to be with her Lord on November 14, 2019. She was born April 21, 1969 in Lansing, Michigan, daughter of Gary McNamara and Sallie Osborne. Jennie graduated from Potterville High School in 1987 and graduated from Ferris State University with an Associate Degree in Nuclear Medicine. She was a former Nuclear Med Tech at Sparrow Hospital and was co-owner of The Branscum Installers with her husband, and member of St. Michael Catholic Church. Jennie was an avid Notre Dame fan; loved horses, bike riding, running, including marathons and a triathlon. She enjoyed spending time at her father’s home in Arizona, where she loved to horseback ride; also spending time at her mother’s cottage at Chippewa Lake, where she enjoyed reading books, while fishing and boating with her husband. Jennie’s greatest joy and love was her husband, children and family.

Jennie is survived by her loving husband of 18 years, Mark, sons Jedidiah and Jimmie Branscum, stepsons Marcus Ryan (Brandi) and Kristopher Branscum; 6 grandchildren, father Gary McNamara, mother and stepfather, Sallie (Terry) O’Connell; sisters Carrie (Michael) Thelen, Deanna (Greg) Carey; brothers Jack (Amanda) McNamara, James Merrick; stepbrother T.J. (Lori) O’Connell, stepsisters Melissa (Shawn) Clementz and Miranda (Matt) Blaha; grandmother Mary Jean Osborne and mother-in-law Joyce Branscum; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Richard Osborne, Tom and Bernie McNamara, and stepbrother Scott O’Connell.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, November 19, 2019 at 11:00 AM at St. Michael Catholic Church, 345 Edwards St., Grand Ledge by Father James Eisele.
