Obituary for Kenneth R. Burger

Kenneth R. Burger, age 76, passed away on May 2, 2019 in Lansing, MI. Ken was born March 22, 1943 in Grand Rapids, MI, son to Floyd and Ruth (Steward) Burger. He served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam Era, where he was an airplane mechanic; retired from General Motors, and was an avid Lions fan.

Ken is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Janey, son Jeffery Burger, 3 daughters: Linda (Donald) Cox, Kimberly (Eugene) Richards, Robbie (Dale) Burger-Hammersley; 15 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren; 3 brothers: Larry Burger, Edward Burger, Mark Gardner, and 5 sisters: Shirley Kill, Nancy Prather, Elaine Arntz, Linnea Scharaswak, and Vicky Lou Griffey. He was predeceased by his grandson Matthew Hiar and sisters Bonnie Miller and Ellen Davidson.

A memorial service with military honors will be held at Peters & Murray Funeral Home, Grand Ledge on Saturday, May 11, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. with visitation from 1-2 p.m. For those wishing, memorial contributions may be made to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or the Fisher House Michigan.
