Obituary for Marlene Lucille Frazer

Marlene Lucille (King) Frazer of Lansing, passed away October 31, 2020 at the age of 84. Marlene was born in Lapeer, MI on August 20, 1936, the daughter of Paul and Edith (Ostrander) King. She was a member of Redeemer United Methodist Church in Dewitt. She held many positions in Christian Women's Club, including president, over the years and enjoyed volunteering at the Redeemer Food Pantry. Marlene especially enjoyed vacationing in Charlevoix, Michigan with her family and spending winters in Orange Beach, Alabama with friends. Family and friends meant everything to her and many of her friendships spanned decades. She loved to needlepoint and her favorite projects included blankets for all the babies and Christmas stockings for every grandchild and great grandchild. Marlene’s love for her grandchildren showed each and every day as she was their number one fan at all of their sporting events.
Marlene is survived by her husband of 64 years, James; son, Michael (Carrie) Frazer; daughter, Tanya (Michael) Massoglia; grandchildren, Jessica (Justin) Blake, Jason (Lindsey) Massoglia, Meghan (Robert) Hodge, Andrew (Hunter) Frazer, Joshua Frazer and Abigayle Frazer; 8 great granddaughters: Mckenzie, Zoey, Andi, Riley, Amelia, Lexi, Julia and Poppie. She was preceded in death by her parents.
A funeral service will be held 11:00 am Wednesday, November 4, 2020 at Redeemer United Methodist Church, 13980 Schavey Rd. Dewitt, MI 48820 with Pastor Rod Kalajainen officiating. Interment will follow at Delta Center Cemetery. Please note that masks are required at the church. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 4-7 pm at Peters & Murray Funeral Home, 301 E. Jefferson St., Grand Ledge and one hour prior to the service at the church. For those desiring, memorial contributions may be made to Redeemer Food Pantry or American Cancer Society, 1755 Abbey Rd, East Lansing, MI 48823 in memory of Marlene.
