Obituary for Pamela Jean Shakespeare

Pamela Jean Shakespeare (Huver), 58, devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, went to be with the Lord on March 1, 2020, while surrounded by her loving family. She was born October 8, 1961 in Lansing, MI, daughter to the late Leo and Meritta (Bloom) Huver.

She is survived by her husband of 14 years, David, children: Melissa (Chad) Burke, Michelle (Nicholas) Heriford, Julia Jefferson, Mancin Shakespeare and Joy Shakespeare; 11 grandchildren; brothers and sisters: James Huver, Loritta Richey, William (Nancy) Huver, Frances Martinez, Teresa (Jerry) Ballard, Michael (Darlene) Huver, Joseph (Sindy) Huver, John, Richard, David and Daniel Huver, several nieces and nephews.

Pam was a graduate of Grand Ledge High School, Class of 1979 , studied business at LCC; a secretary for many years in both the financial and insurance industry; a distributor for Young Living Oils; former Mary Kay Consultant, former minister at Mt. Hope Church, and greatest joy, a homemaker. Pam was a best friend and mother to all, and had an unwavering love and faith in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She led her life as a ministry, loving, supporting, encouraging and fiercely praying for others. Pam was a shining light in so many lives and she leaves behind a legacy of a woman who truly made a difference. Her love and compassion given to so many are cherished memories and will never be forgotten.

A funeral service will be held Friday, March 6, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at Mount Hope Church, 202 S. Creyts Road, Lansing, MI 48917, with Pastor Kevin Berry officiating. Interment will follow at Oakwood Cemetery, Grand Ledge. Visitation will be Thursday from 5-8 p.m. at Peters & Murray Funeral Home, Grand Ledge. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to David Shakespeare for their children Mancin and Joy Shakespeare. Online condolences may be shared at www.petersandmurrayfuneralhome.com
