Obituary for Richard "Dick" A. Buckmaster

Richard “Dick” A. Buckmaster, 88, of Grand Ledge, MI, born March 7, 1930 in Lansing, MI, passed away July 31, 2018 with the love of his family by his side. Dick was retired after 40 years with General Motors and was a member of St. Stephen Lutheran Church in Lansing. He was a past defensive driving instructor; enjoyed boating, and loved spending time with his family.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his wife of 68 years, Kathleen “Katie” and their children: Connie (Mick) Ream, Mike (Roiana), Bob (Julie); daughter-in-law Anita Buckmaster, 10 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren; brother, Jack (Ada) Buckmaster, many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son Rick Buckmaster.
Memorial services will be at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, August 10, 2018 at the St. Stephen Lutheran Church, 2900 N. Waverly Road, Lansing, MI 48906, with Rev. Erick Johnson officiating. Visitation will be Thursday, August 9th from 5-7 p.m. at the Peters & Murray Funeral Home, Grand Ledge. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Alzheimer’s Assoc. or Hospice House of Mid-Michigan. Online condolences may be shared at www.petersandmurrayfuneralhome.com
